01 / THE STARTING POINT

Starting with a practical need.

This is a project I have worked on: extracting line drawings from three-dimensional models in an archaeological context. It is also an example of using programming to respond to a practical need.

This project explores how three-dimensional information can be represented as two-dimensional lines. The interactive illustration above helps explain the difference between form and lines; it does not demonstrate the project's actual extraction quality.

02 / THIS RECORD

Documenting the process and results.

For now, this page introduces the project direction. I plan to add the problem context, characteristics of the input models, the approach and processing steps, and examples and evaluation of actual outputs.

Those materials have not yet been published here, so this page does not list a technology stack, processing speeds, accuracy figures or other performance claims.
